Road Resurfacing & Bridge Rehabilitation

This project included mill and resurfacing of I-94 from Gratiot Avenue to 8 Mile Road; and the rehabilitation of 28 bridges along this stretch of I-94 in Detroit. Resurfacing included pavement joint repairs, drainage structure repairs and adjustment, HMA overlay, and permanent pavement markings. The bridge rehabilitation portion of the project included joint repairs, epoxy deck overlays, substructure repairs, concrete surface coating, and steel beam painting. Most of the construction was done at night and HRC was responsible for full construction engineering services including project engineering, inspection and testing.
