Graduate Engineer
Howell Office
HRC’s Howell team is seeking a Graduate Engineer to join our Municipal Services Team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work in a teaming environment on complex municipal infrastructure projects, including: roads, safety paths, storm sewer, water main, sanitary sewer, recreational facilities, plan reviews and site development
- Ability to manage multiple projects so as to be completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Develop reports and preliminary concepts
- Resolving design and construction issues
- Managing budgets and project resources
- Developing cost estimates and project schedules
- Participates in contract bidding and construction administration
Required Experience / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Passed Part I of the Professional Engineering Exam (F.E., E.I.T.)
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Michigan preferred
- Three (3) to six (6) years of professional experience
- Three (3) years or more in the Municipal Engineering field is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with a variety of computer packages for developing detailed designs including: MS Office, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, Civil 3D
