The Project Engineer must be proficient in designing various types of structures constructed from structural steel, reinforced and prestressed concrete, timber, and masonry in accordance with current applicable standards and codes, and in accordance with the ASD, LFD and LRFD design methodologies. The Project Structural Engineer must possess the following:
Required Experience / Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well as a team member
- At least six years of design experience with the development of contract construction plans, estimates, specifications and bid documents for low rise buildings, bridges, sanitary and wastewater structures, and specialty structures
- Experienced in performing field structural assessments and compiling written summary reports
- Experience with RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge Enterprise and Enercalc structural software
- Emphasis in the design of low rise buildings
