Creating Better Spaces for Livonia Seniors
Building a Place to stay active, Engaged, and Connected
HRC provided design engineering and construction administration services to the City of Livonia for the development of a new 33,000-square-foot, two-story senior center, which was built as an addition to the existing recreation center. Designed to meet the evolving needs of the community, the facility features a cafeteria with a full-service kitchen, fitness rooms, a makerspace, an art room, and a café. A newly landscaped entry drive provides a separate accessible entrance for seniors. The project successfully fulfilled the City’s goal of providing a comfortable, welcoming space that encourages active engagement and connection among senior members of the community.
