Graduate Engineer – Traffic

Bloomfield Hills Office

Required Experience / Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer preferred. If not licensed, must be working towards obtaining licensure in State of Michigan.
• Preferred 3 years of experience
• Proficiency in current versions of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Synchro, VISSIM, Highway Capacity Software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

• The job functions will vary and, depending on the successful applicant’s experience, may include the following:
• Traffic Data Collection
• Preparation of Traffic Impact Studies
• Plan Sheet Development
• Synchro Model Network Development
• Traffic Sign and Pavement Marking Plans
• Crash Analyses
• Traffic Signal Design
• Resolving design and construction problems
• Managing budgets and project resources
• Developing cost estimates and project schedules
• Ensuring projects run smoothly and are completed on time
• Participates in contract bidding and construction administration
• Willingness to participate in a team-oriented environment as well as function independently
• Participate in field investigations to diagnose issues
• Develop reports and preliminary concepts
• Wants varied experience
• Adapts well to change
