The Board of Directors at Hubbell, Roth & Clark, Inc. (HRC) recently announced the promotion of ten key employees. Known for its robust employee engagement strategies, HRC has been a thriving Michigan business for over 111 years. Throughout that time, the corporate culture has focused on rewarding loyal employees, nurturing strong talent, and promoting from within.
Promoted employees have shown their commitment and support to the organization and have been instrumental in helping HRC’s clients achieve continued growth and success. Congratulations go out to those who have been promoted to the level of manager or above:
Adrianna Melchior, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, to Senior Associate
Adrianna Melchior was promoted to Senior Associate. She has been with HRC since 2012 and leads the Architectural Department. She orchestrates functional and aesthetically pleasing architectural solutions for commercial, industrial, municipal, and private clients including parks, recreation centers, farmers markets, and public safety facilities. She is experienced in space planning and design, bid management, and construction administration. Adrianna is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the International Code Council.
Matthew Slicker, PE, to Senior Associate
Matthew Slicker was promoted to Senior Associate. He has been with HRC since 1995 and is involved in project management for site/civil engineering services for private, educational, medical, and municipal facilities. He is responsible for the design of storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water supply systems, and major and local roads. Matt is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the South Oakland County Municipal Engineers.
Jacob Darnall, PE, to Associate
Jacob Darnall was promoted to Associate. He has been with HRC since 2017 and works as part of HRC’s Road Design Group. His experience includes designing roads and culverts, with a focus on federal funding requirements regarding design, permitting, and scheduling. He is responsible for the management of municipal utilities, and the construction of traffic, bridge, and wetland infrastructure projects. Jake is a member of the American Public Works Association and the Michigan Stormwater and Floodplain Association.
Ryan DeBono, PE, to Associate
Ryan DeBono was promoted to Associate. He has been with HRC since 2015 and is part of HRC’s Industrial Facilities Design team. He is responsible for site civil features including underground utility design, process piping, site grading, surface modeling, site access, and roadway geometry design. He has been involved in the design and construction of iron filtration plants, sanitary, storm and domestic water storage facilities, and pump stations.
Sally Duffy, PE, to Associate
Sally Duffy was promoted to Associate. She has been with HRC since 1996 and works as part of HRC’s Asset Management Department. She has been involved with projects related to water and wastewater systems, including capital improvement and master planning, system evaluations and studies, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, funding assistance, and preparation of design plans. Sally is a member of the Michigan Section of the American Water Works Association.
William Jensen, PE, to Associate
William “Billy” Jensen was promoted to Associate. He has been with HRC since 2018 and supervises a design team focusing on municipal infrastructure projects within HRC’s Road Design Group. His responsibilities include road design, rehabilitation/resurfacing and widening, drainage systems, municipal utilities, and utility coordination. Billy works extensively with MDOT and is experienced in storm sewer design, soil erosion and sediment control plans, and construction management/administration.
Michael Roskelley, PE, to Associate
Michael Roskelley was promoted to Associate. He has been with HRC since 2014 and manages HRC’s Electrical Department. His responsibilities include project management, electrical system design, and specification development, with an emphasis on power distribution, standby generation, instrumentation, and controls. He is experienced in lighting design and construction administration and has managed projects conforming to MDOT and OSHA standards and procedures.
Kevin Surhigh, PE, to Associate
Kevin Surhigh was promoted to Associate. He has been with HRC since 2010 and functions as Project Manager/Engineer for numerous MDOT and Local Agency construction projects. Kevin has performed various duties on federally funded construction projects, including supervision, project coordination, contract administration, claim reviews, and inspection.
Jeffrey Pratt to Manager
Jeffrey Pratt was promoted to Manager. He has been with HRC since 2007. Jeff joined the company as a testing technician and now manages HRC’s field personnel in the Mid-Michigan area. His responsibilities include observation, testing, communication with residents, contractors, and other stakeholders, and overall construction management. He has experience in the quality control field and laboratory sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, mortar, and grout.
Cole Villalobos, PE, PTOE, RSP2IB, to Manager
Cole Villalobos was promoted to Manager. He has been with HRC since 2017 and is part of the Transportation Department. His responsibilities include designing roadway and transportation projects for statewide municipalities, counties, and the Michigan Department of Transportation. He is experienced in designing traffic signals, intelligent traffic systems, and pedestrian and bicycle facilities, as well as traffic signal optimization, traffic operations, and impact studies.
